Tickets for Avengers: Doomsday are on sale now, for a cinema release on Friday 18 December 2026. Premium screens went first, on 20 July, and general sale opened on 14 August. In the US you will not find it in IMAX at launch; Marvel is pointing fans to its new Infinity Vision screens instead.
When tickets went on sale
- 20 July 2026: tickets opened for Infinity Vision screens, the same day the first full trailer arrived.
- 14 August 2026: general sale opened, through Fandango and cinema chains.
Listings open cinema by cinema, so if your local one is not showing times yet, it usually means that cinema has not loaded them, not that the film is sold out.
Infinity Vision, and why there is no IMAX in the US
Infinity Vision is Disney's own label for premium screens, which it describes as offering "big screens, bright images and outstanding sound". Look for it on the format list when you book.
The reason for it: Dune: Part Three opens the same day, 18 December, and has the IMAX screens through the holiday period. So in the US, Doomsday plays on other premium formats rather than IMAX at launch. Some international markets have reported IMAX showings, so check your local listings if you are outside the US.
Preview showings
Many cinemas list showings from the evening of Thursday 17 December, the night before release, which is the earliest you are likely to see it. Times vary by cinema.
The world premiere sweepstakes
Tickets bought on Fandango between 20 July and 9 November 2026 are automatically entered into a draw for a trip for two to the world premiere in Los Angeles. If that interests you, buy before 9 November.
How long is Avengers: Doomsday?
The Russo brothers have described it as roughly a two-and-a-half-hour film, and reports put the runtime at around 165 minutes. Marvel has not published a final runtime, so plan for a long sit.
Who is in it
Robert Downey Jr. returns to the MCU as Doctor Doom, opposite heroes from the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the Thunderbolts and the X-Men. Our everything confirmed for 18 December piece covers the cast that Marvel has actually announced.
