Research

Accuracy first

Claims are checked against primary sources whenever possible.

Independence

Clear review policy

Access and partnerships never determine a review score.

Accountability

Visible corrections

Meaningful updates are explained clearly on the affected story.

Accuracy and sourcing

Writers should verify names, dates, quotations and availability against primary material whenever practical. Reporting must distinguish confirmed facts, critical opinion and reasonable inference.

  • Official releases and direct materials take priority.
  • A secondary source is attributed when its reporting is relied upon.
  • Unverified social posts are not presented as confirmation.

Reviews, access and conflicts

Receiving a screening, review copy or interview opportunity does not determine coverage. A material relationship that a reader would reasonably want to know is disclosed in the story.

  • Advertisers cannot set scores.
  • Affiliate relationships are disclosed near relevant links.
  • Sponsored work is labelled before the reader enters it.

Original and assisted work

Editors remain responsible for every published claim. Automated tools may assist with workflow or presentation, but they are not treated as sources and may not invent reporting, quotations or credentials.

  • Illustrative or fictional showcase material is identified.
  • Substantive facts require human review.
  • Copyrighted work is not republished without permission or a valid legal basis.

Corrections

Material errors are corrected promptly and receive a note explaining what changed. Minor spelling or formatting repairs may be made without a formal note when they do not alter meaning.
