Grand Theft Auto VI has no PC release date. The 19 November 2026 launch covers PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S. PC is not among them, and Rockstar has not announced a window.
This is the pattern, not a snub
Rockstar has released its recent open worlds on console first and brought them to PC later, often much later. That gap has been long enough, repeatedly, that PC players treat it as the default expectation rather than a surprise.
The usual explanation is that a staggered release lets the studio ship one hardware target, stabilise it, and then do the PC work — driver compatibility, a settings matrix, and the scaling that console versions do not need — without it blocking launch.
The commercial reading is less flattering and probably also true: a later PC version is a second sales event, with better hardware and added content, for an audience that will wait.
What that means practically
- There is no PC pre-order, because there is no PC release to order.
- Any store page offering one is not selling what it claims.
- System requirements have not been published, so builds sized against them are guesswork.
If you only have a PC
The honest options are to wait, or to buy a console. Cloud streaming is a theoretical third route, but Rockstar has not announced GTA 6 on any streaming service, so it is not something to plan around.
What is worth doing is nothing expensive. Requirements are unpublished, and hardware bought now against a release with no date is hardware bought against a guess.
